Borrego
Community Health Foundation (BCHF) is a private, non-profit
501©(3) Federally Qualified Health Center operating in San Diego County.
BCHF tailors primary and preventive health programs to meet the special
needs of women, children, adolescents, senior citizens, immigrant farm
workers, and those at risk of developing serious diseases such as diabetes. Without
these and similar programs, many of the residents in this isolated
desert region would have difficulty obtaining professional medical
care.
To reach those populations, BCHF acquired fully operational clinics
in Cathedral City, El Cajon, Julian, Coachella Valley and Thermal. In
addition, the foundation opened a full-time pharmacy in central Borrego
that dispenses medications to outlying clinics through daily messenger
service.

The
Borrego Community Health Foundation offers a wide array of health services
that are unique in small, isolated communities such as Borrego Springs.
BCHF offers patients at satellite clinics direct access to visiting specialists
in such fields as chiropractic, dermatology, mental health, pediatrics,
podiatry, prenatal care, reproductive health and women’s health.
Programs are available for pediatrics, adults and geriatrics. The caring
staff are highly trained and skilled in all aspects of patient care.
