F. Seth Brown, Chairman of the Board

Seth Brown, a retired banker, has served on the board for five years and for two as president.  He is a former member and president at the de Anza Country Club Board of Directors.

Dora M. Murillo

Dora Maria Murillo, a Borrego Springs resident since 1978 and former Honorary Mayor with her husband Francisco, served as an eight-year member and president of the Borrego Springs Unified School District Board of Trustees.  She has been a member of the BCHC board for three years and a 200-year member of the Borrego Springs Civic Foundation.

Tom Middleton

Tom Middleton, a trustee for the past five years, serves on the Finance Committee and is the board’s liaison with the Woolcott Memorial Executive Committee, which he co-chairs.  He also is a director of the Washington State Seniors Golf Association and is a former trustee of the Mount Diablo Council of Boy Scouts of America in Walnut Creek, California  For 14 years, he was a vice president at the Frank Russell Trust Co. (now Russell Investments) in Tacoma, Washington, managing pension trust accounts.  He also headed the Personal Trust Division as well as the Pension Trust Division at Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco.

John Barrett

John Barrett, a four-year member of the BCHF board, also is a 17-year member and former president of the board at de Anza Country Club.

Lenna Marie Downing

Lenna Marie Downing, a member of the foundation board since 2005, is former president and chairman of the Foundation for Seacoast Health in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Joe Ceja

Joe Ceja, of Bermuda Dunes between Palm Desert and Indio, represents the Coachella Valley migrant community as the newest member of the BCHF board.  He works with migrant families at Desert Mirage High School.

Nancy Hall

Nancy Hall, a retired registered nurse in pediatrics, family practice and continuing care, serves on the board’s Quality Improvement Committee.  She has been active with American Red Cross blood drives, Meals on Wheels, and was a leader in Girl Scouts and Brownies.  A member of the Friends of the Julian Library for 14 years, she helped raise funds for San Diego County’s Julian branch library, built in 2004.

Harry Ilsey

Harry E. Ilsley, a former board president of the de Anza Country Club, is one of the foundation board’s newest members.  He is a retired business owner from Sheridan, Wyoming, where he still maintains a residence.

Carol Will

Carol Will is a registered nurse and gerontologist with experience in consulting and education in the field of aging.  She has been a professional speaker, presenting all over the United States.  Until recently, Carol worked as the parish nurse at Community United Methodist Church.  In addition to the Borrego Community Health Foundation Board of Trustees, she has served on the boards of Desert Home Care and Community Concerts.  She is a volunteer disaster worker with the American Red Cross and with the San Diego Medical Reserve Corps.  Carol chairs the board’s Quality Improvement Committee and also serves the board as liaison for Desert Home Care. 

Kenneth Holland

Kenneth Holland, a trustee for the past seven years, is a retired lawyer and former president of the Foothills Bar Association in Los Angeles County, where he has also served as president of the Kiwanis Club of Monrovia and the Santa Anita Golf Club. He has maintained a home in Borrego Springs since 1966 and is a member of the Board of Directors at de Anza Country Club.
